This will be the shortest route for you to enter the school. COACHES AND WRESTLERS ONLY can enter the school through the wrestling room which is located between the school building and the football stadium, directly next to the Eastside team bus parking area. If you try to enter through the general public entrance you will be instructed to go around the building and enter through the wrestling room, Athletic Director requirement. Also please enter the wrestlers name without commas as this will cause problems with the tournament software: (ex. Bryce Martin not Martin, Bryce) Wrestlers will receive the standard 2-pound growth allowance (per high school league) for duals on Thursday night. Plus 1 extra pound on Friday because of dual matches on Thursday Jan. 19th. If you do not know who will be wrestling at a particular weight class or do not have anyone at a particular weight class then DO NOT enter that weight class in your online registration. Additions/Removals can be done Friday afternoon. Tournament Format: Brackets will be a 16-man format with double elimination. Seeding: In the comment section of the registration for each wrestler enter the seeding value that is developed by the following criteria. If no seeding information is provided then the wrestler will go through a blind draw to place them into the bracket. 2005 State Place: 1st-40 points 2nd-30 points 3rd-25 points 4th-20 points SQ-15 points (in 2004 or 2005) *If a wrestler placed in 2004 but not in 2005 then count them only as a SQ. 2005-2006 Record: All varsity matches Each win- 2 points Each loss- -1 point *Be sure to multiple total number of wins by 2, THEN subtract the number of losses. Example: Matt
Leach finished 1st @ state 2005 (40 points), 2005-2006 record of 15-1
(30-1=29 points)=40+29=69 seeding points. Brackets for both divisions
will be posted/e-mailed on Wed., Jan. 18th for all coaches to review.
Thursday night, Jan. 19 will be the cut-off for changes to the posted
brackets and they will be reposted on the web. After Jan. 20
no-shows and missed weights are forfeits. The wrestling room will be open
for workouts all day Friday for teams traveling to Eastside. The
scale will be available to check weights. |
